When she's sewing herself back together I always think "yep, I get that". We all need someone or something to help us to sew the pieces back together I'm glad you've found your support system xxMichelle Rogerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16472120868084570461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-89851481727195811202014-08-02T19:30:41.650+10:002014-08-02T19:30:41.650+10:00"I am grateful for the family that surrounds ..."I am grateful for the family that surrounds me, in person and in the ether. I am grateful for the connections that exist. Some fleeting and some enduring. But each providing another thread to sew me back together."

This. This so much embodies my journey, especially where I'm at now. I have a fantastic support system that just keeps getting better. I felt so alone at the beginning, and so adrift, but things are better now. I'm being sewn back together. (Have you ever seen The Nightmare Before Christmas? Sally the Ragdoll is what comes to mind.)Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12407466438773284596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-49217664624864483292014-08-01T14:02:07.357+10:002014-08-01T14:02:07.357+10:00Another Shag fan! I want that rather badly, but have not seen a print up for sale anywhere and I'd hate to think what it would cost anyway. Thanks for sharing my ramblings I appreciate that. Now to get on to sourcing the "blue unicorn". ;)Michelle Rogerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16472120868084570461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-58912439197963219882014-08-01T13:59:17.532+10:002014-08-01T13:59:17.532+10:00I loved that part too, Ruth. I had a spot in the garden at our old house where I could sit and breathe in the natural world. Until we find our next house, it's sterile rental with minimalist garden. Though I do now have pot plants everywhere :)Michelle Rogerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16472120868084570461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-83184002828416696012014-08-01T13:56:48.251+10:002014-08-01T13:56:48.251+10:00Thanks Rach and I appreciate your looking up pictu...Thanks Rach and I appreciate your looking up picture too I can't recall if I commented or not, the last week has been a bit blurry but I know I meant too. xxMichelle Rogerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16472120868084570461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-84305129910241554852014-08-01T07:13:02.350+10:002014-08-01T07:13:02.350+10:00Hi Michelle! I am a HUGE Shag fan myself - have Shag shirts, Shag books, a Shag tiki purse...thanks to my artist hubby that introduced me to his work.
Thanks for the snail book recommendation. I can't wait to read it!
Your struggles are always on my mind. Thousands of miles away - you have someone that is a big fan of yours (me). I've even got my PCP reading your blog now. You give a real voice to dysautonomia. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world. Your struggles give me strength to get through my own issues of this insidious condition. Sending cyberhugs your way.
(PS: I'll be anxiously waiting for my free unicorn. Please try and send a blue one. That is what my anesthesiologist (the dude that takes care of my back pain and screwed up nerves in my back and legs) calls me - his "blue unicorn." At least he gets that I am NOT a horse. ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6181780691238814823.post-4266169480254846552014-07-31T21:23:15.011+10:002014-07-31T21:23:15.011+10:00Hello Michelle. I keep in my mind her view out the window to the blue sheets drying on the line with red flowers planted underneath. Beautiful.
